STATEWIDE SPORTS

A big game for Hunter Dickinson. He helped lead the Wolverines to a bounce back win in the Big 10 as they beat Minnesota at home, 60-56. Dickinson had 23 points, 9 rebounds and a 9-for-9 day from the free throw line. However, the team lost Jett Howard to an ankle injury in the first half and he did not return to the floor.

Meanwhile, in Indiana, Michigan State lost to the Hoosiers 82-69 in Bloomington as Trayce Jackson Davis torched the Spartans for 31 points and 15 rebounds. Indiana pulled away in the final 10 minutes.

Staying on basketball, the Pistons return home to face the Milawakuee Bucks tonight at 7 p.m.

The Red Wings next game is set for tomorrow night vs the San Jose Sharks at 7 p.m. The Red Wings lost over the weekend to the Philadelphia Flyers 2-1.

Finally in pro football, the AFC and NFC titles are set. The San Francisco 49ers will travel to Philadelphia to face the Eagles on Sunday at 3 p.m. Meanwhile in the AFC, it’s a repeat of last year as the Cincinnati Bengals travel to Kansas City to face the Chiefs on Sunday at 6:30 p.m.
