The Pistons put up a fight against one of the best in the league, but a 31-6 Denver run took Detroit down, 119-100. The Pistons led by 5 with about 10 minutes to go. Rodney McGruder had a career high 6 three pointers in the loss.

Michigan State will begin their hopeful NCAA tournament run at
12:15 against 10-seeded USC in Columbus. Meanwhile, Michigan will play again in the 2nd round of the NIT against Vanderbilt on Saturday at noon

The Red Wings will be back on the ice for the first time since their Tuesday night loss to Nashville. They will host Colorado tomorrow at 1 p.m.

Finally in baseball, the Tigers may have lost their top prospect for a good chunk of the year after pitcher Jackson Jobe complained of a spinal issue and could possibly be out 3-6 months. On the field, the Tiger lost to the Phillie 10-1. Their next game will be against the Yankees at about 1 p.m.
